n recent weeks, I have missed the feeling of how paper receives pigment, paint, pencil and pastel.

Its entirely different than canvas, in fact different types of paper react in very different ways!

This was created on an 11x14 Nujabi Paper and it surprised me by not being as open to the acrylic paint and wash as I expected. It has a tight fine grade surface so required a few extra layers, but the effect is beautiful and semi-transparent as can be seen in the vase layering and table.

This is another example of meshing several styles together, impasto, sculptural, abstract impressionistic loose AND structural.

Be sure to preview all the photos so you can see the differentiations in texture and balance between elevations.

This was also good practice in being open to it all and letting go of rules and perfection and just being free. Relaxing and trusting it would all work out and it did!!

The wide-open curvaceous fruit and flowers make me feel so happy and connected to my feminine energy 🔆🔆
