I just love taking bits of cloth, mesh, paper and tissue and other studio scraps, and pressing them into the canvas to create the foundation for these kinds of works. Its mesmerizing to see the shapes that begin to form, shadows, curves and edges that start to tell me their own story. I feel as if I become the instrument, led by the art.

Life is so full of texture. Our own stories often rough, torn around the edges, ripped, sometimes forgotten until memory is sparked. A bit soft here and there, so colorful and full. Vibrant and beautiful. Waves of joy, sometimes sadness and everything in between.
