Spa Day #2
Spa Day #2
Roomy 4x6 inch Original Abstract Art Created on Recycled Cotton Paper
Have you ever been to a spa where the women lounged around naked?
Totally relaxed in the nude. Comfortable in their skin.
I once visited a spa where there were I was advised I could swim or sit in the steam or sauna room or even swim with or without a bathing suit.
I wondered what I would see on the other side of the door lol
There were only two women and both partially naked, breasts out and unfettered, relaxed. Unposed and unconcerned.
I of course took this as a challenge and decided I'd take the plunge and I undressed, wrapped myself in a towel and stepped into the steam boldly and let my towel drop.
I admit I felt shy, self-conscious and nervous. Were they looking at me and seeing my flaws?
Still, I pushed through the discomfort and began to relax and wonder why nudity was so taboo.
I can still smell the eucalyptus and hear the sound of the steam, and the echo of our voices as we leaned our heads back against the wall, closed our eyes and just became a little less aware of everything and a little more human.
Our body's; such amazing machines. Built to house our souls, portals for new life, creativity and energy, naturally healing and capable of so much… absolutely incredible... deserve so much more love, more appreciation and a lot more freedom.
I've lately begun to tell my body how much I love her, sometimes with words and sometimes with touch. Sometimes just a thought. This body is mine, and every single beautiful curve, scar and ache, every tattoo, birthmark and stretchmark, hairy arm pits and strong legs, sparkling eyes and sassy smile...all pure magic and I'm determined to pay better homage and give more gratitude.
My art is another way that I express the love, delight and the joy of femininity for myself and all women.
